Painting completed, but no pictures
We had a good long weekend and have now managed to finish all the internal straw bale wall painting. All walls were painted in Dulux EnvirO2 paint, with "whisper white" tint, except for the brick wall between the living room and one of the bed rooms that was painted in a "Red Blooded" colour, also from Dulux.
When it comes to the paint, we can highly recommend the Dulux EnvirO2 paint - it hardly has any smell at all and is good to work with. The paint we used for the Red Blooded colour could not be the EnvirO2 paint, as it used a red base, and this had a much stronger smell.
As for quantities of paint, the render really soaked up a lot of it on the first coat. We got around 5 m2 per litre on the first coat, and probably about 8 or 9m2 per litre on the second coat. This is much less that what it would have been on a plaster wall, but that is just life.
Having finished the painting we are back again at tiling and have today finished doing the tiling in the second bath room. The tiling in the first bath room was finished a few days ago. We have not done the grouting yet, but might get time to do that either tomorrow or later on Sunday.
Now, we had hoped to give you some updated pictures, but something has gone wrong either with our camera or the cable connection between the camera and the computer, so we cannot transfer the pictures at the moment. However, we have now done some shopping online so hopefully we will get a part in the mail that will solve the problem during the coming week.
So, until then, have a nice week and sorry about the lack of pictures.
Cheers !
