The rest of the tiling
Entry 104 showed how far we had managed to get with the tiling at that stage. All the tiling has now been completed, that is, except for some of the skirting where we have to wait until we have the doors and the architraves in so that it can be neatly finished.
The overall tiling experience was quite good. We most certainly got better at it as we went, something that is very natural when you have not done it before. The wall tiling was probably the easiest part, that is in the showers where the walls were nice and flat. The wall tiling on the straw bale walls was harder in that we used small mosaic tiles. Putting them on was not the hard part, but ensure it we did not get too much glue in the grout lines was. As such, we had to scrape out a bit of excess glue the next day before we could do the grouting.
The floor tiling in the bathrooms was a bit tricky due to the electric floor heating cables, but was better in the second bathroom than the first (probably just experience). Floor tiling in the laundry, kitchen and hallway all went really well, as they could just go flat down on the slab. The main issue was just figuring out how to lay the tiles, i.e. to get the correct pattern and to reduce the amount of cutting required.
More tiling pictures to let you know what it now looks like:

Mosaic tiles on the straw bale wall. Since the wall is not straight and we would not be able to get the sink flush with the wall, we decided that it was best to tile all the way down to the floor to ensure that it was waterproof.

Small tiles around the bathtub, again on straw bale walls, and normal tiles on the cement sheet in front of the bathtub.

Mosaic tiles on the floor of the shower.

Splash back for bathtub, using normal tiles on the plaster wall and mosaic tiles on the straw bale walls.

And finally from the bath tub up to the window.

This is how it turned out after the grouting had been completed.

And again, after the grouting had been completed.

Then some pictures of the rest of the floors done:

And finally, kitchen floor seen from the living area. This picture also shows the concrete bench tops, after they had dried, but before polishing started.
Clever observers would also have noted that the last entry also included pictures of the splash back tiles in the kitchen.
