Sunrise and snow on the mountain

Just wanted to share the following pictures with you all:

This was taken around 7 am on the 31st of March 2006. We woke up just in time to have a fantastic red skyline just over the hill. 15 minutes later it was all gone.

And this was taken morning of the 3rd of April 2006 (today) looking the other way. We do not always see the mountain due to clouds, but it came out today and showed the little snow that fell during yesterday and last night. We have just had two days with absolutely awful weather; it has been really windy almost all the time and loads of rain coming down. It has been really dry here lately so it is good for the soil, and luckily we had some inside work to do (see next entry). But it has been cold with temperatures down to about 6 degrees - something which is about 6 degrees less than normal. Hopefully we will get some warmer weather soon.
