First indoor shower in four months

Finally, yesterday was the day for an indoor shower. After the accidents last weekend with the wind, we got some new plastic for the shower cabinet and all the necessary pipes to do the plumbing work to install the wash basin and the shower. We decided to do this ourselves so that we didn't have to get the plumber down yet again. It was a relatively simple job and done in one morning.

And here is the result:

Today we have received the timber for the garage and are hoping that the steel poles will also turn up this afternoon. It started off being a nice morning so we have done a bit more work on the box work for the house slab, but now it has changed and it is raining yet again. But at least the roof is up and the gutters are all complete so that we can collect a bit of rainwater for our tanks.

We are planning to start putting up the steel posts for the garage this weekend (weather permitting) and the timber work for the garage is relatively streight forward so it should not take too long until we have a structure up and hopefully a roof. Then we just have to get going on doing the strawbale walls.
