A nice Sunday walk
We are now trying to get better at taking some days off in between all the building and working, after having had stints of up to 3 weeks without any days off earlier in the year. Mostly our days off are now Sundays, and today turned out to be a really nice day; the sun was shining, hardly any wind to speak about, and around 15 degrees. Some weeks ago we noticed a road not far away from our property that we had not yet explored (there are still many around.....), so we decided to go for a walk down the road today. We had some idea about it leading down to the water, and were hoping to be able to go down to the water, then following the coastline back to Cremorne.
It turned out that the road led to a few property, but also to a coastal reserve. So we followed the signed and ended up at the waterfront, where we had a nice cup of tea and some chocolate cake (baked yesterday on a slightly lazy afternoon). The water wasn't too cold, but we were 't tempted to have a bath. The Summer is probably a better time for swimming here in Tasmania. After our break, we headed down southwards, towards Cremorne, and followed the coast for a couple of kilometres. We managed to walk along the water about half the way, then we had to hike up a hill and follow the edge of the farmland that has a magnificent view of the ocean. When you all come visiting, we'll take you for a walk, and possibly a swim.....
